KATSEYE Reveals the Surprising Backstage Ritual They Share Before Shows

KATSEYE revealed that their Wildworld Tour wardrobe involved more than carefully coordinated stage looks. The members regularly borrowed clothes, accessories and makeup from one another, turning their backstage preparations into a shared ritual.

The group also revamped its concert wardrobe for the North American leg, balancing coordinated looks with personal touches. From heritage-inspired jewelry to sweat-proof makeup, the singers explained how they made each performance feel uniquely theirs.

The members reveal their backstage borrowing ritual, while Lara adds her own twist

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae opened up about their tour style. The group wanted to elevate its looks while preserving the playful energy they bring to fans, whom they affectionately call EYEKONS.

“For our second tour, we wanted to elevate our looks while keeping the playful, bold energy that feels so KATSEYE,” Lara told the publication.

Their wardrobe also celebrated their individual backgrounds. Lara customized her bindis as a nod to her Indian heritage, while Megan wore a jade bracelet representing her Chinese culture. Daniela explained that jewelry, accessories and styling details allowed the members to celebrate their roots while expressing their individual personalities.

Creative director Humberto Leon worked with the singers to create a cohesive aesthetic. Yoonchae described the overall mood as “confident and powerful.” Megan also praised the collaborative process, highlighting the fittings and adjustments that helped bring the designs to life.

However, KATSEYE’s backstage routine wasn’t all serious fashion business. Daniela revealed that the members frequently borrowed pieces from one another, including tops, accessories and makeup products.

“We’re all pretty comfortable sharing, so there’s definitely a lot of ‘Wait, can I borrow that?’ happening backstage,” she told PEOPLE. She added that the group had made sharing clothes and getting ready together part of their touring routine.

Lara also brings extra creativity to the group’s fashion and beauty moments. Megan said her bandmate loves expressing herself through performance, fashion and beauty, keeping everyone guessing about her next look.

Meanwhile, Yoonchae pays close attention to quick changes, staying calm and checking that every outfit remains secure. Daniela stressed that stage-proof makeup matters just as much, given the heat, lights and dancing. She said products need to withstand a full performance while still looking effortless.

KATSEYE also encouraged concertgoers to embrace their own style. Lara suggested Y2K-inspired outfits, statement accessories and comfortable clothes that allow fans to dance freely. The North American Wildworld Tour began in Miami on October 13 and was scheduled to continue through November 28 in Mexico City. Following their October 18 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut, the members were also scheduled to return to Texas for 106.1 KISS FM’s Jingle Ball in December.
