Charli D’Amelio Breaks Silence on Explosive Claims About Her Parents

Charli D’Amelio denied that her parents stole her money as speculation about their family business continued to grow. The TikTok star also reflected on separating her finances and career from Marc and Heidi D’Amelio after years of working together.

The 22-year-old built an enormous online following as a teenager. Now, she wants more control over her future after years of nonstop work and intense public scrutiny.

The social media star denies allegations that her parents mishandled her earnings

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Charli addressed rumors about her parents’ handling of her earnings. Gossip site Deuxmoi published the allegations in May. Marc later denied them in a TikTok video in June. “So a website said … we took money and put it offshore,” Marc said. “I wouldn’t even know how to do that. Come on, dude. This was never about money, it was about having this crazy, awesome experience with my family.”

Charli also responded directly when the publication asked whether her parents mishandled her money. “No, they’re not true,” she said. “I wouldn’t say that they stole my money.” She paused before adding, “I think we did a lot of things as a family.”

Speculation intensified in September after Charli appeared on Quenlin Blackwell’s YouTube cooking show, Feeding Starving Celebrities. When Blackwell asked how much money Charli made from merchandise, she replied, “Mmm, ain’t that the question. Wouldn’t I like to know.” The clip went viral and fueled more Kardashian family drama comparisons.

Charli started working full-time at 15 and said she only began learning about her finances around 21. She now manages her own money and lives separately from her family’s business. She also parted ways with former manager Greg Goodfried in December. Her parents and sister, Dixie, once shared nearly every professional venture with her. However, Charli and her parents later unfollowed one another on Instagram. Marc said he now communicates with Charli “through her lawyer.”

Despite the tension, Charli insisted she still loved her sister. “I mean, that’s my sister. I’m going to love her till the day I die,” she said. “But there are times where you’re figuring stuff out.” Charli said she wanted to spend the final months of 2026 pursuing projects that made her proud. She also planned to announce a major project in November.
