Former Roseanne Star Drags Chuck Lorre Into Ugly Hollywood Feud

Chuck Lorre and Tom Arnold are both well-known figures in their respective fields and have worked together in the past. Lorre, a writer who has recently been making headlines for his new memoir, is now back in the news after Arnold dragged him into an ugly Hollywood feud.

Tom Arnold revived his decades-old tensions with Chuck Lorre in a blistering post

Recently, the comedian heavily criticized the American TV producer and took his remarks to X. Arnold revived his decades-old tensions with Lorre in a blistering post.

Arnold dropped a photo that read, “He thinks he’s brilliant & beloved like Norman Lear but Chuck “Chuckles” Lorre’s a terrible human, an angry dry drunk who lies every time he opens his mouth. He trashes Trump, but he is Trump & he’s a bitter hack who actually believes his lame vanity cards at the end of his lame shows are Paddy Chayefsky worthy.”

“Chuckle’s made $800,000,000 off the backs of very talented women & a naive cracked up Charlie Sheen (clean & sober since he’s not under Lorre’s strange, abusive tutelage), then trashes them all to make him feel cool but don’t worry, Chuck hates himself more than we ever could. I wish everyone could’ve seen his arrogant, sad clown face the day Roseanne made me fire him,” it continued.

The actor captioned it, “Some thoughts on uber producer Chuck Lorre’s new book…”

For context, Chuck Lorre, one of the most celebrated sitcom creators in television history, has released his new book, “Sitcom: A Memoir.” Tom Arnold appears to have taken aim at the book.

According to TMZ, this isn’t the first time the 67-year-old comedian has spoken out against the American TV producer. Their feud dates back to 1990–1992, when they worked together on the popular sitcom Roseanne. In his new book, Sitcom: A Memoir, released in October 2026, Lorre makes a major allegation. He claims someone added Tom Arnold’s name to original scripts written by Mom’s creator and other writers, allowing the actor to take credit for their work. Lorre, 73, described the atmosphere during that period as toxic.
