As per Page Six, Farjam recalled the confrontation in Jonathan Van Meter’s upcoming biography, Citizen Kim. The book explores Kardashian’s personal life and the breakdown of her marriage to West. It is scheduled to hit bookshelves on October 27.
According to Farjam, West arrived at Caitlyn Jenner’s home with Kardashian. He reportedly began criticizing Kris Jenner and other relatives for not supporting his campaign. The rapper was running for president during the 2020 election.
“Kanye came to Caitlyn’s house with Kim and he just started ripping into Kris and the family and questioning them about not voting for him [in his 2020 presidential campaign],” Farjam recalled.
The producer described the argument as particularly revealing. “He just made it all about himself,” she said. Farjam added, “That whole 30-minute battle was very telling, but we had to edit it out.”
The gathering reportedly took place while the family was attempting to repair damaged relationships. Farjam said everyone was trying to reunite and offer support. However, West’s alleged outburst complicated those efforts.
Although the confrontation never aired, Keeping Up With the Kardashians featured Kardashian’s emotional response to the end of her marriage. During the Season 20 finale, she cried while speaking with sisters Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner.
“I just honestly can’t do this anymore,” Kardashian said. She also described herself as feeling like a failure over her third marriage. Kardashian had previously been married to music producer Damon Thomas and basketball player Kris Humphries.
Kardashian ultimately filed for divorce from West in February 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage. The former couple share four children and continue to navigate their co-parenting relationship. West later married Bianca Censori, while Kardashian has been linked to Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton.
The biography also revisits Kardashian’s struggle to accommodate West’s lifestyle and expectations. She previously explained that she could not relocate to Wyoming with him. “He should have a wife that supports his every move and travels with him and does everything I can’t,” she admitted during the series finale.
The newly revealed scene offers another glimpse into the tensions surrounding their relationship. It also shows how Kris Jenner and the wider family became involved in West’s political ambitions. Farjam’s account brings previously unseen details to light ahead of Citizen Kim’s release.
