Hillary Clinton is entering a new media venture alongside veteran journalist Kara Swisher. The pair will launch a political podcast series ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, focusing on issues affecting American families, democracy, and the country’s future.

Titled High Stakes, the series will debut Oct. 14 through Vox Media. It will launch as the third episode of Swisher’s With Kara Swisher podcast, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The partnership comes as political attention builds ahead of November’s midterm elections.
Clinton and Swisher plan to discuss healthcare, living costs, and technology while offering different perspectives on pressing political issues. The Nov. 3 elections will provide the backdrop for the series.
Clinton explained why she wanted to participate in the project. “I don’t think the stakes for our country and the world have ever been higher than they are in November,” she said. She also highlighted the public’s desire for meaningful political discussion.
“People are hungry for real conversation about what’s happening in our democracy and what it will mean for their families,” Clinton continued. She called Swisher an ideal partner for those conversations and promised “some discussion, some debate, and hopefully a lot of laughter.”
Swisher also welcomed the collaboration, describing Clinton as “a global icon” who “doesn’t hold back.” Swisher added that Clinton would bring audiences “an invaluable perspective.”
Vox Media chief executive Jim Bankoff praised the partnership in a statement, describing both women as “forces of nature” with “undeniable chemistry as hosts.” He also expressed enthusiasm about future collaborations between the companies.
The announcement follows Clinton’s guest-host appearance on Swisher’s Pivot podcast in August. Swisher also recently announced plans to leave CNN when her contract expires later this year.
Clinton previously hosted You and Me Both with Hillary Clinton for iHeartRadio. High Stakes marks another move into political media for the former secretary of state, while the partnership also sets the stage for additional collaborations between Clinton, Swisher, and Vox Media.
