Donald Trump Amplifies Kid Rock’s Warning About Religious Tensions

President Donald Trump amplified singer Kid Rock‘s warning about religious tensions by sharing a clip from an interview on social media. In the interview clip, the singer criticized Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed.

Donald Trump’s post paired Kid Rock’s “civil war” warning with a swipe at Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed

Donald Trump shared Kid Rock’s warning of a potential “civil war” over religious ideology on Truth Social. In the clip, Rock also took a swipe at Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, calling him a “wolf in sheep’s clothing.”

During an appearance on Lara Trump’s Fox News show, Kid Rock expressed concerns about Dearborn, the Detroit suburb.

According to the New York Post, Kid Rock said, “I don’t know if people understand how it got to be one of the biggest Arab populations outside the Arab world.”

He added that while he knows “there are extremists and there are milder versions of it … I don’t want my grandkids to one day have to fight some civil war over religious ideology.”

Dearborn is known for its large Arab-American community and has been described as the largest Arab-American majority city in the country. Kid Rock was born in Dearborn, and multiple generations of his family hail from the same city.

The singer made the remarks while discussing Michigan’s Senate race between Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed and Republican Mike Rogers for a vacant seat.

Kid Rock said, “This is scary,” adding, “I think El-Sayed’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing.”

The singer’s remarks focused on his concerns about religious extremism and the possibility of conflict. Kid Rock often shows his support for Republicans and prominent figures. Trump’s repost brought additional political attention to the singer’s interview.

Trump shared the clip without any comment. However, he has also criticized Fox News over its interview with Abdul El-Sayed.

Earlier, he called El-Sayed a “Jihadist lunatic who hates our Country, the Black People of Detroit, and wants to see the U.S. fail.” Trump also accused Fox News of supporting Democrats over Republicans.
