Saweetie questions why Quavo’s Bentley drama is still being discussed five years later
Saweetie and Quavo’s relationship ended several years ago after a highly publicized romance. Quavo gifted Saweetie a customized Bentley for Christmas in 2020. The luxury car featured snowflake details and “Icy” embroidered on its headrests.
The couple split several months later, with the Bentley becoming part of the discussion surrounding their breakup. Reports at the time suggested that Quavo had repossessed the vehicle after their split. Saweetie later appeared to move forward by purchasing another luxury vehicle herself.
Now, the Bentley story has resurfaced years after the couple went their separate ways. Quavo recently offered a spiritual explanation for taking back the luxury car, saying God told him to retrieve the Bentley following their split.
According to TMZ, Saweetie was asked about Quavo’s comments while she was at LAX. She questioned why the incident was still being discussed five years later.
Saweetie also expressed happiness about Quavo finding God. Rather than revisiting the details of their relationship or the Bentley controversy, she questioned why the old story continued to receive attention.
The Bentley became one of the details associated with the couple’s 2021 breakup. Their relationship had already attracted considerable public attention before the vehicle controversy emerged, making the luxury car part of the broader discussion surrounding their split.
Saweetie previously appeared to put the controversy behind her through another luxury purchase. Her latest comments suggest that she has little interest in revisiting the story.
The Saweetie LAX encounter also offered a glimpse into her current perspective. Rather than expanding on the controversy, she questioned its continued relevance.
The Quavo breakup remains a notable chapter in both artists’ public histories. However, Saweetie’s latest reaction suggests she would rather leave the Bentley controversy in the past.
