King Charles Has Unexpected Reaction to Young Rapper Named Princess

King Charles had a lighthearted reaction after meeting a young London rapper named Princess. The encounter took place during his visit to Apple’s UK headquarters at Battersea Power Station. There, he learned about her music and heard a track she had recently completed in her bedroom.

Princess completed the King’s Trust’s “Get Started in Music” programme and makes music from her bedroom. When she told Charles, “I’m into producing, I’m a writer and a rapper,” he responded, “Ah, a rapper, fantastic.”

As per Mirror, the King then heard more about Princess’ latest work. Prophet Guillory, head of artist services at Apple, told Charles that she had finished a song and brought her hard drive with her. Guillory said, “I don’t know if we want to play it to His Majesty, this is a special moment, she brought her hard-drive and finished her vocals in her room last night.”

Charles appeared amused by the late-night recording session. “What, at three o’clock in the morning?” he joked.

The group then listened to Princess’ track, which included the lyric, “I’m a Princess, and I need my King.” The line amused Charles, who responded, “To squeeze the words in, you need to be really clever, don’t you?”

The encounter took place as Charles visited Apple’s UK headquarters to see a new collaboration between Apple and the King’s Trust. The project provides training workshops across creative industries, with Apple experts helping young people develop skills for employment.

After meeting Princess, Charles visited Apple’s new Music Hall at the power station. There, he met Sir Elton John and posed for a group photo with Apple CEO Tim Cook and young people involved in the Creative Labs programme.

Cook praised the participants, saying, “I saw your work, I heard your work, you guys are fantastic, you have such great potential, and you have the power to change the world with your art and your music.”

Apple has supported the King’s Trust since 2019. The Creative Labs project aims to expand workshops across Apple TV, Apple Podcasts and the company’s other creative industries.
