Kyle Cooke addressed why he has not filed for divorce from Amanda Batula. Nine months after the estranged couple officially announced their breakup, Cooke shared an update on the divorce. The Summer House star explained why they have been putting off the process while working through the details.
Kyle Cooke says divorce details with Amanda Batula are still being worked out
During Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea Awards 2026, Kyle Cooke spoke to E! News in an exclusive interview.
He addressed the reason why the estranged couple has not filed for divorce. Cooke said, “It’s been a little slow going; she was busy, I was busy. We’re still working on the details of that.”
Amanda Batula has already moved on following their breakup and is reportedly with her former costar West Wilson. Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula officially married in 2021 and announced their split in January 2026. Batula reportedly moved out in late 2025.
He said, “It’s never fun to have those formal talks, and maybe there’s a side of us that put it off a little bit. But, yeah, we will eventually make it formal and sign on the dotted line.”
Although Cooke said he is not rushing to be in a relationship until he is legally single, he entered the Hamptons share house this year, filming Season 11 as single and ready for a relationship.
He said, “I carried a lot of stress these last many years. It truly felt like a weight had been lifted and I could let my hair down. Well, I don’t have a mullet anymore. But I could just be myself and not have to apologize for everything. I had a lot of fun. I feel like we returned to the roots of the show to some extent. Everybody entered single, which is a first.”
The Summer House star added that everyone suggested he should be having fun. Cooke said he is fortunate to be traveling and filming.
