RHOSLC’s Whitney Rose Pulls the Plug on Her 16-Year Marriage

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Whitney Rose has filed for divorce from Justin Rose after nearly 17 years of marriage. She submitted the paperwork on Tuesday in Utah’s Third District Court, Salt Lake Department, and also filed a proposed parenting plan.

The filing follows months of reports that the couple had been living separate lives. Insiders previously claimed they were rarely together and had been experiencing marital “frustrations.”

The 40-year-old Whitney and 58-year-old Justin married in November 2009 and share two children, daughter Bobbie, 16, and son Brooks, 13. Justin also has three sons from his first marriage.

Page Six previously reported that Whitney and Justin were “living separate lives,” while one insider claimed, “They are never together, even when they’re in the same place, like the gym.” Another source alleged that the couple was “existing” together “for the sake of the kids.”

Whitney also did not include Justin in a recent Instagram post listing the people and things “that bring [her] life the deepest sense of happiness and joy.” She instead mentioned “time with [her] family, Bobbie & Brooks, sunrises, sunsets, food, golf, friends, mountains, sunshine [and] healing.”

Financial stress was also previously reported as a factor in the couple’s marital struggles. Whitney has faced the pressures of launching Wild Rose Beauty, Sōl People, Prism and the “Wild Rose Podcast.” Meanwhile, Justin is now the president of Awakend.

Justin’s career change had previously affected their household. He was fired from his senior executive role at LifeVantage Corporation following the couple’s controversial Season 2 “Love Is Art” scene. He remained out of work for a year, and Whitney later said that the situation significantly affected their relationship.

During Season 4, Whitney told Angie Katsanevas that she and Justin were unsure about continuing their marriage. However, she continued to dismiss divorce rumors. In January 2025, she told Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live” that the split rumors “have been circulating for five years now,” while insisting that Justin was “not going anywhere.”

Now, after nearly 17 years of marriage, Whitney has formally filed for divorce.
