Megyn Kelly tells Olivia Rodrigo to “shut up” over her support for the Cornell Jane Doe

During the October 5 episode of her YouTube show, she addressed Rodrigo directly, saying, “In sum, you don’t know what the f**k you’re talking about. Shut up and stick to singing. I liked you better when you were in front of a microphone singing your weird little depressing songs.”

She continued, “It’s better to keep your mouth shut and let people suspect you’re an idiot than to open it and prove them right. Ever hear that saying? It applies to you, sweetheart.” She further stated, “We don’t need the participation of know-nothing morons who have been auto-tuned into fame and suddenly think they have something profound to say on the culture wars.”

The remarks came after Rodrigo shared a post on her Instagram Story that read, “Shame on Cornell and on every institution that protects rapists and abusers over women. I stand with Jane Doe.” Rodrigo praised Doe’s bravery, saying it “reverberates across the country.” She added that the crimes against Doe “will not go unpunished” and emphasized that her experience matters. She also criticized those who could have intervened but chose not to, saying Doe deserves answers, consequences, and lasting change.

The allegations came to light after a former Cornell student filed a lawsuit against the university and seven fraternity members on September 16. She alleged that several men at the Chi Phi fraternity house forced her to consume drugs before they gang-raped her on October 19, 2024. She was 20 years old at the time. The defendants are Matthew Ingalls, Johnathan Newell, Winston Lee, Gillio Lopes, Diego Sarabia, Scott Norris, and Scott Kretzschmar,
