Gavin Newsom Calls Out Joe Rogan Over Podcast Snub

Gavin Newsom took a dig at Joe Rogan, saying that the podcaster won’t invite him on his show, The Joe Rogan Experience. The California governor said Rogan has criticized him over the years but never called him on his show.

Gavin Newsom says Joe Rogan has spent years criticizing him but still won’t invite him onto his show

In an interview with YouTuber Shelby Church, when asked whether he is interested in appearing on podcasts like The Joe Rogan Experience and Call Her Daddy, Newsom said Rogan “won’t have me on.”

Newsom said, “He doesn’t want to be confronted with the bulls**t that he spews, particularly in the political sense. He’s just an artist in political terms. Sorry. Just is.”

Newsom has previously appeared in conversation with conservatives including Sean Hannity and Charlie Kirk. He likes to have a conversation with people he disagrees with. However, he claims Rogan would not want to talk to him.

The governor said, “I’m happy to confront him, but he won’t do it. It’s not even now; I’m not even interested because it’s been two years of him just bashing me on a weekly basis.  Well done, tough guy. You know, but he won’t have me on. I told him it’d be 10 against one. Get all your guys to get the ear things. Uh, you can have people ask the questions and follow-ups for you, but he won’t do it.”

Discussing the Call Her Daddy podcast, he said he has not been invited, adding that, “I love that. Would be amazing. Please call me. Do that one.”

Rogan has consistently criticized Gavin Newsom over the years. He called Newsom a “b——- artist,” adding that the only reason he had political power was because of no serious competition. (via Ok! Magazine)

Rogan also pushed back against Newsom’s presidential ambitions in 2025. In October 2025, Rogan said, “You can’t…ruin a state and say, ‘Guys, that was just practice. Once I get in as president, I’m gonna fix it…’ You have the highest unemployment. You have the highest homelessness.”

Rogan and Newsom continued their public back-and-forth, openly criticizing each other.
