Presley Gerber’s death reportedly strengthened George Clooney and Amal Clooney’s decision to keep their children away from public attention, according to a source close to the actor.
The couple had already established strict privacy rules for their nine-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella. A source claimed Presley’s death at 27 reinforced their long-standing approach to raising them outside the spotlight.

Clooney had maintained a close friendship with Presley’s father, Rande Gerber, for more than two decades. He also became close to Cindy Crawford and their children, Presley and Kaia Gerber. The family reportedly referred to him as “Uncle George.”
However, George Clooney and Amal chose a different approach when raising their own children.
According to the source, the couple decided early on to limit photographs of the Clooney twins. They also avoided bringing Alexander and Ella to red carpets or sharing them on social media.
The source said safety also influenced that decision because of Amal’s work as a human rights lawyer.
As per Daily Mail Clooney previously discussed protecting his children’s identities in a 2024 interview.
“I have a goal of trying to protect, I don’t want pictures of my kids,” he said.
Another source claimed the twins would not pursue public careers while they remained young.
“The kids will not work till after college,” the insider said. “That can happen later in life.”
The family also raised Alexander and Ella away from Hollywood. Clooney previously said he worried that growing up in Los Angeles could expose them to paparazzi and comparisons with other celebrity children. He said raising them in France helped reduce that pressure.
The sources did not suggest that Clooney and Amal blamed Crawford or Gerber for the paths their children took. One insider said the couple did not fault Presley’s parents for supporting his modeling career.
