Shekinah Garner formally moved to end her marriage to Sarper Güven after publicly saying their relationship had already changed beyond repair.
The 90 Day Fiancé star confirmed that she had reached “a point of no return” while discussing her decision to file for divorce. Her court filing followed days of public comments about the breakdown of their marriage.

As per TMZ, Garner said ending the marriage brought heartbreak, but she believed she needed to move forward.
“Filing for divorce was not a decision I made lightly or without heartbreak, but I’ve reached a point of no return,” she said. “I’m choosing to let go with love, grieve what I believed we could have been, and begin moving forward with my life.”
Court documents showed that Garner filed for divorce on Monday. She cited irreconcilable differences and listed September 22, 2026, as the couple’s separation date.
That date also matched the day Garner publicly announced the split.
Garner and Güven married on November 11, 2024. The filing stated that they shared no minor children.
She also requested spousal support. The former couple still had property and debt matters to resolve through the divorce proceedings.
Before taking legal action, Shekinah Garner had described how the marriage had changed.
She claimed that she continued to consider herself married while Sarper Güven had already embraced the “single life.” Garner also said she heard that he was on dating apps and had been spotted with other women. She maintained that she had stayed faithful during that period.
The reality star also said the marriage eventually began to feel like a “situationship.”
Garner further accused Güven of turning their private problems into material for his comedy performances. She claimed she sometimes watched him joke about their marriage shortly after she had cried over their difficulties.
Her post also included an apology to her daughter. Garner said she regretted that her daughter had watched her endure another painful relationship. She added that she hoped her daughter would eventually choose “the exact opposite” of what she had seen her mother accept.
The 90 Day Fiancé star then followed her public breakup announcement with a formal divorce filing, marking a clear legal step in the end of the marriage.
