According to OK!, Sylvester Stallone described the incident in The Steps. At the time, he attended a boarding school that used a detention area for students who broke rules. Stallone said staff placed him inside the punishment block after one incident. While there, he encountered another detainee who was completely naked.
The actor said the man suddenly attacked him and grabbed at his private parts. Stallone recalled yelling for help as he tried to get away. He described the experience as terrifying and said he still remembers the fear clearly. The episode became one of several troubling memories from his youth.
He recalled, “He clawed at my p—- like he wanted to rip it off. I yelled for help as loud as I could, as he dug his nails into my crotch, ripping at it, trying to tear off my pants.” Stallone has spoken openly in recent months about how chaotic his early life became before acting changed his direction. He has also revisited the physical and emotional toll of some of his most famous roles.
The account also comes as Stallone continues to reflect on other difficult periods in his life. He recently revealed that his extreme Rocky III physique contributed to bulimia and steroid use, showing how often he pushed himself far beyond healthy limits. He said, “I knew that I needed to find something special, but also something that most people could relate to. I just had no idea where to start.”
His comments in The Steps go much further back. At age 17, Stallone had not yet found the discipline or career that later defined him. The naked inmate incident also adds context to the rough environment he described from that period. Stallone has said he often got into trouble and struggled with authority during his school years.
Despite those experiences, he eventually redirected that energy into writing and acting. His breakthrough with Rocky turned him into one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Still, the memory of the assault has clearly stayed with him. Decades later, Sylvester Stallone can still recall the panic of that moment inside the school’s punishment block.
