Prince Harry’s Wild Side Once Rubbed Prince William the Wrong Way — Report

Prince Harry and Prince William have had a complicated relationship for years. However, a new report suggests their clashing personalities caused friction much earlier. A former member of Princess Diana’s security team says Prince Harry’s playful side sometimes annoyed his older brother when they were children.

Prince Harry’s ‘joker’ side once irritated Prince William, former staff claims

Princess Diana’s former protection officer Ken Wharfe discussed the brothers in an interview with The Express US. Wharfe said Prince William was more studious, while Prince Harry often played the entertainer.

Wharfe described Harry as “the joker.” He also claimed that this personality trait sometimes irritated William. Still, he did not present their childhood disagreements as serious. Instead, he compared the tension to normal sibling rivalry.

The former bodyguard said Harry’s outgoing nature simply differed from William’s personality. He added that similar clashes happen in many families. Wharfe also painted a picture of two brothers with very different temperaments. William appeared more reserved, while Harry brought more humor into the mix.

Their relationship changed dramatically as they grew older. Prince Harry stepped back from senior royal duties with Meghan Markle in 2020. Harry later spoke publicly about his strained relationship with Prince William. Reports have since suggested that the brothers remain distant.

The royal split has also drawn years of speculation about whether the pair could eventually repair their bond. More recently, Harry has fueled speculation that the brothers could reconcile. His public mention of William in July was seen by some as a possible olive branch.

However, reports have continued to suggest that trust remains a major issue between them. Their relationship has stayed under close public scrutiny. Wharfe said he finds their current estrangement “rather sad.” He also discussed Harry’s long-running concerns about security in the UK.

The latest report offers a lighter look at their earlier disagreements. Harry’s playful side appears to have caused the kind of irritation many siblings know well.

Those childhood clashes were far removed from the serious rift that later developed. Even so, the comments offer another glimpse into the brothers’ contrasting personalities.
