Fans know and love Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy from Next Gen NYC. The two also made headlines as a couple because of their on-and-off relationship. However, their relationship is now over, and McLeroy has opened up about his struggles following their split, revealing that he became “readdicted to drugs.”

According to Us Weekly, during the September 23, 2026, episode of Next Gen NYC, McLeroy opened up about his breakup with Biermann and his struggles with drug addiction.
“I also got readdicted to drugs. I was dealing with a lot of different things that were going on all at once,” he said.
McLeroy also explained that he had been trying to start a car company in Atlanta.
“I was starting a business out of Atlanta, a car company. It was going really good until I had that car explode and a couple of speed bumps along the way. I didn’t f*** off to Atlanta. I was genuinely trying to start a business, trying to put forth effort into what Ariana said I wasn’t doing while we were dating,” he added.
During the reunion show, Charlie Zakkour criticized McLeroy for deciding to move out of New York City and not fighting for his relationship with Biermann. In response, the 24-year-old reality star defended her ex.
“You act like Hudson wasn’t down bad in a f***ing drug addiction. You don’t think of situations. He went to rehab!” Biermann said.
For context, the former couple had known each other since high school and were in an on-and-off relationship for around nine to 10 years. They also moved to New York City together.
In October 2025, McLeroy and Biermann had their first major breakup. At the time, the fashion entrepreneur wrote that they were moving in different directions.
In mid-2026, the two tried to repair their relationship and get back together. However, in August 2026, Biermann confirmed that she was single.
