Beckinsale first shared a black image on her Instagram feed. The image featured the word “bye” in white letters. She did not add any caption to the post. She later shared another message through her Instagram Stories.
The second post featured a rainbow at the end of a street. Over the picture, Beckinsale wrote, “Congratulations, you won. I give up.” She didn’t explain the meaning of the message or who it was addressed to. She has now deleted both posts from her Instagram account. Beckinsale’s Instagram currently has no posts.
Kate Beckinsale’s latest posts were made after she cleared her Instagram in August. After her mother, Judy Loe, died in July 2025 after a battle with stage IV cancer, Beckinsale discussed her struggles online. Then, she shared several Instagram Stories featuring negative comments about her body.
According to PEOPLE, in an August 8 post, Beckinsale addressed the comments about her appearance. “You take a break from Instagram for several months following the death of your mother, delete all of your posts and explain in some considerable detail about what you may have lost weight, including the fact that weight loss is one of the very first physical signs of bereavement … I think people might be broken,” she wrote.
