Scheana Shay looked back on her former friendship with Lala Kent and admitted that she should have listened to Kristen Doute. The Vanderpump Rules alum recently acknowledged that Kristen had recognized Lala’s behavior and warned her about it years earlier.

Scheana and Lala were once close friends, but their friendship eventually fall apart. Before Scheana’s memoir was released, Lala shared private details about Brock Davies’ 2021 affair with a mutual friend. Scheana had previously told Lala about the affair in confidence.
Davies admitted to having an affair as rumors about his alleged relationship with Rachel Leviss surfaced in 2023. The rumors came amid the fallout from Leviss’ affair with Tom Sandoval. The memoir, My Good Side, was released on July 22, 2025. During Season 5 of Vanderpump Rules, Kristen warned Scheana about Lala. She and the rest of the group viewed Lala as vicious.
During SiriusXM’s Reality Checked on Radio Andy, hosted by Dorinda Medley and Kiki Monique, the 41-year-old TV personality said, “I actually just recently apologized to her for something. I just said, ‘I’m so sorry that sometimes it takes me years to see what you see in people in days, because that’s been an issue with mine and Kristen’s friendship. People who have done her dirty, who I have, like, remained cool with, and she’s like, ‘Do you not see?’ And I’m like, ‘No, I don’t.’ And then I see it, and I’m like, ‘Oh, she was right.’ Again.”
Both Scheana and Kristen are now based in Los Angeles after their time on Vanderpump Rules. Kristen has gone on to star on Bravo’s The Valley, while Scheana continues to host Scheananigans. Vanderpump Rules recently finished its 12th season, which premiered on December 2, 2025, and concluded with its two-part reunion in March 2026.
