Kate Middleton and Prince William stepped out for their official visit to the Isle of Bute during their Scotland trip. During their visit, the couple tried their traditional sport, shinty.  The outing included a beach clean-up event, a shinty club, and a stop at a local pub.

The visit to Bute Shinty Club in Rothesay gave a glimpse into one of the oldest traditional sports. Shinty is played using a wooden stick, a caman, and a ball.

Catherine, who was spotted wearing a Burberry trench coat, appeared to enjoy as she laughed and joined the players on the field to take a shot.

Middleton’s has often shown interest in sports and has been one of the athletic royals. Her outfit also suited the weather that later turned rainy. She added a newsboy-style cap to protect herself from the weather.

According to Hola, the visit to Bute Shinty Club was planned to highlight the importance of connection, community, and volunteering across the island.

The royal couple was introduced to players, young people and volunteers who are keeping sport alive.

King Charles also visited Scotland during the trip to attend an event at Dumfries House.

Rothesay holds significance for the couple as they hold the Scottish title of Duke and Duchess of Rothesay.

During the visit, Kate Middleton wore an outfit with earthy colors. She was spotted wearing a brown trench coat, long boots, a forest green turtleneck sweater, and brown fitted trousers. William was seen in his usual black trousers, a blue sweater over collar shirt, and a jacket.

This marked their first trip to the Isle of Bute after their visit to the Scottish Isles of Mull and Iona last year.
