Now that the royal couple is back in Britain, their children were expected to start school in early September. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet had reportedly joined one of the country’s best co-ed boarding schools. However, their family’s security team allegedly advised them to change schools due to security concerns.
Apparently, heavy traffic on the route from their current home to the school could turn a 30-minute journey into an hour-long drive. As reported by the Mirror, the slow-moving traffic reportedly increased concerns about the children’s safety. The new school where Archie and Lilibet are enrolled is reportedly closer to the family’s current residence.
The school allegedly informed other parents only one day in advance that Harry and Markle’s children would be attending. Parents at the school reportedly exchanged numerous messages after learning that Harry and Meghan’s children would be joining. One parent said the family arrived shortly after 8:15 a.m. in cars, with security guards opening the doors. A mother told the outlet, “The parents’ WhatsApp groups have been buzzing. It’s all been very sudden and lots of people are talking about it.” Another parent said that the arrival of Harry and Markle’s children at the school had “caused quite a commotion.”
The parent described the school as a small, close-knit community where parents regularly speak with one another. They said families were not accustomed to seeing well-known parents arrive in cars with darkened windows and security personnel. The parent added that Harry and Meghan could fit into the community as long as they remained friendly.
