Charli D’Amelio Makes Pointed Money Remark After Family Brand Exit

Charli D’Amelio appeared to take a subtle jab at the family rift after stepping away from the family’s popcorn business, Be Happy Snacks. Her departure came amid rumors of a financial dispute between Charli and her parents, Marc and Heidi D’Amelio.

Charli D’Amelio questioned what she earned from merchandise months after leaving Be Happy Snacks

During her appearance on the Sept. 5 episode of Quenlin Blackwell’s YouTube series Feeding Starving Celebrities, Charli gave Quenlin a look at some of her old merchandise. As Charli showed off the items, the comedian, while holding up a pair of branded sweatpants, asked, “How much did you make from this?” “Mmm, ain’t that the question,” the 22-year-old influencer replied, giving the camera a pointed look. “Wouldn’t I like to know,” she continued.

Charli’s remarks come just three months after People reported that she was no longer involved with Be Happy Snacks. Charli launched the popcorn brand in 2023 with her sister Dixie and their parents, Marc and Heidi. Dixie still promotes the brand on social media.

Amid growing rumors of a family rift, the social media star’s father addressed the financial allegation involving his daughter. The claim surfaced in a DeuxMoi post on Instagram. It was alleged that Charli discovered that millions of dollars had been moved from accounts created while her parents managed her career.

Marc responded to the allegation in the comments on May 30. He wrote, “No one called me for an interview. This is not true. We love Charli, but she is being manipulated, and I have the receipts. Over the last six years, we have remained silent and never addressed gossip, but the time has come to set the record straight.” He also denied the allegations to People at the time, saying, “There is nothing to say except the report is 100% not true.” However, the family appears to be estranged. Charli has unfollowed her parents on Instagram, and they no longer follow her either.
