Tammy Hembrow has opened up about her infamous 2018 collapse, calling Los Angeles “a bit of a dark place.” The Australian influencer made headlines after she was carried out of Kylie Jenner’s 21st birthday party on a stretcher.

During a live appearance in Adelaide with Happy Hour hosts Lucy Jackson and Nikki Westcott on their Party Girl Tour, Tammy was asked directly what really happened at Kylie Jenner’s birthday party. Hesitating to answer, she replied, “I feel like it’s a bit of a like… Actually, I’ll take a shot. I don’t want to say.”
“I don’t wanna get messy,” she said. “I just feel like, to me, LA is a bit of a dark place. There are some dark people, hence why I haven’t been back there for a hot minute,” she added. Lucy then asked whether Tammy believed she had been drugged, to which Tammy shook her head and took the shot. Nikki further stated, “Do you know what’s so funny, though? After that happened, Lucy and I literally said, we’re like, this is off because [Tammy] can fucking party.”
Tammy hit the headlines in August 2018 after cameras captured her being carried out on a stretcher outside West Hollywood hotspot Delilah, shortly before the birthday girl arrived. Tammy later addressed the incident in a YouTube video, which is no longer available.
She said jet lag and exhaustion contributed to her collapse and admitted she probably should not have been drinking. She explained, as quoted by Grazia, “I was, and I already wasn’t feeling well at all. I was talking to a bunch of my friends … [then] I pretty much collapsed.” Neither Kylie nor any other members of the Kardashian-Jenner family have addressed the incident publicly.
