Chainsmokers Hit With Another Alarming Concert Emergency Weeks Later

The Chainsmokers faced another concert emergency just weeks after a separate incident. Fourteen fans required hospital transport during their San Jose show. The emergency happened Friday at Discovery Meadow in downtown San Jose. Authorities responded after multiple people needed medical attention.

Fourteen fans were hospitalised after a medical emergency at the Chainsmokers’ San Jose concert.

The San Jose Fire Department responded around 8:22 pm Friday. Officials received reports of “multiple patients requiring medical attention.” The department then requested additional emergency medical resources. A total of 14 ambulances eventually responded.

“A total of 14 ambulances responded, and 14 patients were transported to local hospitals,” officials said. The condition of those concertgoers remained unknown. ABC7 separately reported that police cited alcohol or drugs. That report said 10 people required hospital treatment.

The Chainsmokers have not publicly addressed the medical emergency. The EDM duo consists of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart. They posted concert footage Sunday without mentioning the incident.

The San Jose emergency followed another troubling concert incident last month. The duo performed at Splash House’s “After Hours” event in Palm Springs. A fight reportedly broke out before bottles were thrown into the crowd.

Police have reported that nine people suffered injuries during that incident. Seven people went to a local hospital for treatment. Some attendees reportedly suffered cuts from broken glass. Authorities described the injuries as minor.

The Palm Springs Police Department investigated the incident afterwards. The San Jose emergency marked another instance involving multiple concertgoers. However, the two incidents involved different reported circumstances. Authorities have not indicated any connection between them.

The Chainsmokers continued their performance despite the latest emergency. Neither Pall nor Taggart has commented publicly about the situation. The San Jose Fire Department’s response involved a significant deployment of emergency resources. Officials transported all 14 patients from the concert site.

The differing figures came from separate reports about the medical emergency. Officials confirmed 14 people reached hospitals by ambulance. Their current conditions remained unclear following the incident.
