Jax Taylor allegedly berated his ex-wife Brittany Cartwright during a heated 2022 argument. The former couple fought while their young son Cruz was present. The argument included harsh comments and threats from Jax. A transcript of the incident has now surfaced in their legal battle.

TMZ obtained a transcript of an Aug. 28, 2022, video that Brittany submitted in court. The transcript says Jax first told his son, “I’m sorry, buddy,” before insulting Brittany with an ableist slur. Brittany responded, “Oh my god, so sorry,” but Jax repeated the insult. Their baby was “wailing” in the background as Brittany asked Jax to leave them alone.
Jax then told Brittany, “Nope. What are you doing? What are you gonna do? You’re not gonna do shit.” Later, he called her “a nut” and “a terrible mother.” He questioned why she had people over until 2 a.m. while their baby was home. Brittany said the baby had been asleep when the guests were there.
During the argument, Brittany asked Jax to leave because she believed he was frightening their son. Jax warned her, “Don’t you ever, ever, ever turn my child against me,” before threatening, “I’ll fucken kill you!” The fight later shifted to an argument about Cruz’s milk. Jax ended that exchange by yelling, “GIVE HIM HIS MILK!”
Mark Vincent Kaplan, Jax’s attorney said that Brittany was looking back five years to a time when Jax “wasn’t sober.” Kaplan said Jax had done the hard work to move beyond his past shortcomings and remained committed to that work. Jax also asserted in his restraining order petition that Brittany caused issues in their relationship. He alleged she was not attentive to Cruz and drank excessively, while denying that he ever intended to hurt her and saying many comments came before he became sober.
