Wladimir Klitschko remembered Hayden Panettiere on what would have been her 37th birthday
Wladimir Klitschko took to Instagram to share an emotional tribute to late singer Panettiere. He posted her picture and wrote, “Today is Hayden’s birthday. Instead of celebrating the way we had planned, today we celebrate her life, her spirit, and the love she brought into this world.”
The professional boxer with whom Panettiere shares a daughter, Kaya, added, “I want to thank all of Hayden’s fans, friends, and everyone who has reached out for the incredible outpouring of love and support. At a time filled with so much sadness, your kindness has reminded me that there is still so much good in humanity.”
He urged fans to reach out to their loved ones to reconnect with them. He concluded the message with, “Love is a superpower. Use it. Happy Birthday, Hayden. ❤️ You are loved, you are missed, and you will never be forgotten.”
Panettiere and Klitschko’s 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, lives with her father after Panettiere lost custody in 2018 following her struggle with postpartum depression.
According to Page Six, the singer was reportedly planning to celebrate her daughter’s birthday week with her in Germany. The source said, “She was so excited to see her and was telling everyone how much she was looking forward to spending time with her.”
Panettiere and Ukrainian boxer Klitschko were previously engaged in 2013 before the couple split in 2018.
Hayden Panettiere died on August 16 at the age of 36, after she was found unresponsive at a private residence. The cause and manner of her death are still unclear as the investigation is ongoing.
