Florence Pugh is changing how she approaches her packed career. After years of moving quickly from one major project to another, the actress says she needs time to recharge. However, Pugh is not walking away from acting. Instead, she wants to make more time for family, friends and life outside a film set.

According to the Daily Mail, Pugh discussed slowing down in a new Elle Magazine interview. She admitted that her usual instinct is to keep working. “I need to recharge and learn to stop,” Pugh said.
Now, the actress wants to spend more time with the people closest to her. She also wants enough time to recover before another demanding stretch of work begins.
Still, talk of a Florence Pugh acting break does not mean her schedule is suddenly empty. She recently appeared as Yelena Belova in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”. Current reporting confirms Pugh appears in the film as Yelena Belova.
Meanwhile, several major projects remain on the horizon. Pugh returns as Yelena in “Avengers: Doomsday”. She also reprises Princess Irulan in “Dune: Part Three”.
In addition, Pugh leads Netflix’s “East of Eden” as Cathy Ames. She also serves as an executive producer on the limited series.
Pugh had already hinted at this shift earlier in the year. In May, she told Entertainment Tonight that she had enjoyed a rare quieter period before her schedule intensified again.
Her recent run of major projects helps explain her need for balance. She has moved between Marvel blockbusters, prestige dramas and franchise films with little downtime.
For now, Pugh appears determined to make rest part of her schedule rather than something she squeezes in afterward.
