Don Lemon poked fun at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after reports suggested the Sussexes planned to return to Britain. He appeared stunned that the couple could leave America after years of highly publicised royal turmoil.
The former CNN anchor revisited the pair’s infamous Oprah Winfrey interview during his reaction. He also referenced their interracial marriage while recalling Meghan’s allegations about discussions involving Prince Archie’s skin colour.

In an Instagram video, Lemon reacted to reports about the Sussexes’ alleged UK move. He began by highlighting a headline about Harry and Meghan returning after six years.
Lemon said, “Look, I’m rooting for y’all. The interracial of it all, I get it. I’m rooting for y’all, but come on, make up y’all’s mind.”
He then recalled the controversy surrounding the couple’s 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview. “After all that consternation, after all that stuff y’all put us through,” Lemon said.
He continued, “the [Oprah Winfrey] interview, all that.” Lemon then made the remark referencing the royal family’s alleged concerns.
“Oh, my God, ‘What color is the baby going to be behind the ears in the royal family?’” he added.
Lemon later read reports that Harry, Meghan, and their children planned to move. He suggested the family may have repaired some damaged relationships.
“That’s what folks are saying. They’re enrolling their kids,” he said. “They had a… I guess they repaired stuff.”
“Good luck, whatever,” Lemon added.
The commentator claimed he had predicted Harry would eventually return to his family. However, he expected the Duke of Sussex to return under different circumstances.
“I predicted that this would happen,” Lemon said. “Now I thought that they may separate and then he would go back.”
He seemed particularly surprised that Meghan would reportedly return alongside her husband. “But there’s a twist,” he continued. “They’re both going back now.”
The New York Times reported that people familiar with the decision confirmed the family’s upcoming move. Those sources said Harry and Meghan would continue living as non-working royals.
Lemon also predicted drama involving Kate Middleton. “Is it gonna be kissy-kissy, huggy-hug, or shady mcshade?” he asked.
“The latter, I’m sure,” Lemon concluded.
