Chuck Liddell has accused his ex-wife Heidi of taking their teenage daughter against custody orders. The former UFC fighter asks the court to return the 14-year-old Guinevere to his full custody. He says the dispute has also affected their son, Charlie. Heidi strongly denies that she abducted their daughter.
Chuck claims his ex-wife took their daughter against existing custody orders
According to TMZ, Chuck filed an emergency custody order in Los Angeles County Superior Court this week. Heidi took Guinevere on Wednesday just before the first day of high school, he says. Chuck says Heidi convinced their daughter to move to Orange County against the court’s orders. He wants Guinevere returned to him and placed in his custody full time.
Chuck says Heidi had tried to get court approval to move Guinevere and 13-year-old Charlie to Newport Beach. He alleges that she took Guinevere when she saw that the court wouldn’t approve the move before the fall semester. Chuck also accuses Heidi of ignoring several custody orders. He says she stopped using the co-parenting app, used the children as messengers and missed Guinevere’s activities.
Chuck also claims Heidi took Guinevere during his custodial week last Thursday with “no intent to return her.” He told the court he fears Guinevere could “suffer irreparable harm by missing her first week of school”. He also fears she might lose her spot on the volleyball team. Chuck says the situation has caused “immense undue stress and turmoil” for Charlie, who remains close to his sister.
Chuck wants the court to grant Heidi monitored visitation until a formal hearing. He says that would prevent her from taking the children away again or “manipulate” them. He also wants sole physical custody of both kids until the court holds a hearing. Heidi, however, tells the outlet that she never abducted Guinevere and says the teenager begged her to take her from Chuck’s home.
Heidi said Chuck has spent the five years since their divorce trying to control her and remain involved in her life. “My door has always been open for my kids to see Chuck, and I never abducted anyone,” she told TMZ. She also said their children “don’t feel safe speaking up to him” and called herself “exhausted” by the situation. Chuck and Heidi married in 2011 and finalized their divorce in April 2025, nearly four years after Chuck filed for divorce.
