Slash reportedly filed a request in court to adjust an alleged overpayment to his ex-wife. The guitarist claims his manager mistakenly overpaid $1.5 million in spousal support. His latest request adds another dispute to their long-running divorce settlement.
Slash claims a business manager’s error caused him to overpay Perla Ferrar by $1.5 million
Slash claims his business manager’s mistake caused him to overpay his ex-wife by $1.5 million. According to TMZ, he has asked the court to allow him to deduct the amount from future spousal support payments. He filed a request in Los Angeles County Court claiming that his business manager failed to adjust the extra amount, resulting in an overpayment to Perla Ferrar.
The Guns N’ Roses guitarist has to pay $100,000 monthly, in addition to quarterly payments tied to certain income as spousal support.
Slash, whose legal name is Saul Hudson, claimed in his request that his manager failed to adjust the extra payments to Perla Ferrar, leading to the overpayment. His ex-wife received $3.42 million each year in 2021, 2022, and 2023, although the payments were supposed to be capped. He says he paid a $1.5 million overpayment that he wants to adjust through future payments.
He also alleged that he tried to resolve the matter with Ferrar, but she did not agree. As a result, he continued to pay the full amount that he wants to adjust.
Ferrar’s team reportedly wanted financial records as proof before providing any credits. Slash is seeking permission to apply a $1.5 million credit to future payments rather than asking Ferrar to pay the money directly.
The divorce proceedings began in 2014 and were settled in 2018, when Slash agreed to pay $6.6 million in a divorce settlement and $100,000 in monthly spousal support. His new request has led to another court dispute following their lengthy divorce proceedings.
