Eric Trump’s Donald Trump Family Photo Has the Internet Crying ‘Fake’

Eric Trump has sparked fresh online debate after sharing a family photo featuring President Donald Trump and two young children. Social media users quickly claimed the image appeared to be AI-generated or digitally altered, pointing to several unusual visual details.

Social media users pointed to an apparent extra foot and other unusual details in Eric Trump’s Donald Trump photo

Eric posted the image on Instagram on Aug. 10 as part of a carousel. It highlighted the LIV Golf New York event at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey. The photo showed Donald Trump seated beside two of his grandchildren while smiling for the camera.

However, the image immediately drew scrutiny online. Several users claimed the photo contained visual inconsistencies commonly associated with AI-generated or heavily edited images. Close-up screenshots circulated across social media. Critics pointed to what appeared to be an extra foot in the background, distorted furniture, unusual lighting, and warped body features.

One X user questioned, “Whose foot is that?” Another account, PatriotTakes, asked, “Who got photoshopped out?” The post prompted further speculation that the original image may have been digitally edited before it was shared publicly. Other users described the image as a poor Photoshop attempt. Some suggested AI tools had been used to alter the final result.

The image also attracted attention because it follows previous instances in which members of the Trump family have faced scrutiny over AI-generated or digitally altered photos. According to The New Republic, Donald Trump also shared another image from the same weekend that appeared to have been digitally enhanced. The outlet claimed the photo made the president appear slimmer, straighter, and younger than he appeared in unedited photographs taken during the event.

Neither Eric Trump nor Donald Trump has publicly addressed the online claims or confirmed whether either image was edited. The authenticity of the family photo has not been independently verified.

The latest controversy comes months after other AI-related Trump family posts generated similar reactions online. Earlier this year, Donald Trump Jr. faced criticism over a family photo that users claimed had been digitally altered. Donald Trump also sparked discussion after sharing an AI-generated image portraying himself as the “Guardian of the World.”
