According to TMZ, Diddy paid between $7 million and $8 million in legal fees. Sources with direct knowledge reportedly shared the figure with the outlet. The payments allegedly covered work from his September 2024 arrest onward. His legal team included Marc Agnifilo, Teny Geragos, Brian Steel, Nicole Westmoreland, and others.
The rapper faced federal charges including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. Prosecutors also charged him with transportation to engage in prostitution. The case proceeded through an eight-week trial in 2025. Diddy denied the allegations throughout the proceedings.
A jury later acquitted Diddy on the racketeering and sex trafficking charges. However, jurors convicted him on two Mann Act counts. Those convictions involved transporting male escorts across state lines for prostitution. He avoided the potential life sentence tied to the more serious charges.
A judge sentenced Diddy to 50 months in federal prison in October 2025. He is currently incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey. The reported legal bill covered both trial and appellate representation. Neither Diddy nor his attorneys publicly confirmed the reported amount.
Last month, Diddy entered solitary confinement after a prison altercation. Sources claimed another inmate insulted the music executive before a fight followed. Prison staff reportedly ended the confrontation quickly. Diddy and the other inmate were then placed in segregation.
