Jason Biggs and his wife, Jenny Mollen, ended their 18-year marriage on May 14, 2026, and the news came as a heartbreaking surprise to fans. After the split, the actress and writer revealed that she had even texted her ex-husband to let him know she would soon undergo vaginoplasty.
Now, Mollen has opened up once again during a podcast, sharing her feelings and reflecting on what she has been experiencing since their separation.
Jenny Mollen Says She Struggled With Being Eclipsed by Jason’s Career
Jenny Mollen recently joined Liz Vaccariello on her podcast, What Matters With Liz, where she opened up about how she began feeling overshadowed during her 18-year marriage.
Mollen said, “When I got together with Jason, I always had a chip on my shoulder in the beginning because I felt like suddenly I went from being the oldest daughter and I felt like I had my s— together and then suddenly, I married this guy who in a lot of ways — career wise — totally eclipsed me.” Later, the Angel actress compared her marriage experience to Prince Harry’s story while trying to lighten the mood around the heavy emotions she was discussing.
“To be the spare and not the heir. I was the American Pie spare. I relate to Harry. That drove me mad and I always had this feeling,” Jenny added.
It has been months since news of their separation became public, but Jason Biggs, best known for the American Pie films, has not publicly shared any major reaction to the split so far.
However, Mollen has spoken openly about her feelings on several occasions. She has shared her emotions honestly and discussed her experience, including before her recent podcast appearance.
Jenny Mollen and Jason Biggs have two sons, Sid, born in 2014, and Lazlo, born in 2017. Despite their separation, the couple continues to prioritize their children’s well-being and has agreed to share joint custody.
