Chuck Schumer faced allegations of “backing genocide” during a press conference after journalist Sam Husseini interrupted him while he was speaking about alleged corruption involving Donald Trump.
Journalist Sam Husseini called out Senator Chuck Schumer
Journalist Sam Husseini confronted Senator Chuck Schumer during the press conference. He said, “Back genocide. What can be more corrupt than that in genocide? This is part of the same con with you and Trump tying off of each other. These words put you on notice in November of 2023 by the Centre for Constitutional Rights and other legal human rights organizations.”
He further added, “The notice on potential legal liability for aiding, abetting and inciting, or conspiring to commit genocide, to congressional acts and demands. You were put on notice, you backed it, and you backed the genocide for years on end. How dare you talk about corruption?”
Schumer responded, “Thank you for your diatribe. Let’s continue. People didn’t come to hear you.”
Schumer did not directly respond to the allegations. Husseini was soon escorted out of the press conference. As he was leaving, he shouted, “Shame on you for not addressing the questions of genocidal shady acts.”
Soon afterward, clips from the press conference circulated across social media platforms. Some online users voiced support for the journalist.
One Reddit user said, “Yes please. More of this.” Another user commented, “Any politician that refuses to answer questions and instead ejects the non-violent person from the room should be immediately yeeted from office.”
One user said, “I approve of his questions and miss journalism.” Another user commented, “Damn and this smug diatribe.” I hope these collaborators live to see consequences.”
