Brooke Hogan Fights Back Relationship Judgement Over Late Father Hulk

Brooke Hogan is pushing back against critics who have questioned the way she is grieving her late father, Hulk Hogan. In a candid new video, she said no one truly understands what she experienced with the WWE legend behind closed doors and defended her right to mourn on her own terms.

Brooke Hogan said fans had no idea what she experienced with her father

Brooke Hogan clapped back at critics who questioned how she grieved her father. On Thursday, July 30, she posted a raw TikTok video. In it, she defended her right to mourn on her own terms. The Brooke Hogan criticism had spread fast across social media.

“I can’t believe I have to make a post reminding human beings how to be human,” Brooke, 38, began. She said she was “receiving so much judgment” over her relationship with her father. Moreover, she stressed that “everybody does not know exactly what I went through with that man.”

According to US Magazine, Brooke then pushed back on the idea that estrangement erased her pain. “You can take a trip down memory lane on Google and see what him and I went through publicly,” she said. She added that the private damage left her “allowed to be very hurt and very allowed to draw boundaries.” Still, she insisted she could “mourn and miss,” her dad.

Brooke also shared how deeply the loss has affected her emotionally. “I’ve cried every day since he died,” she said. Furthermore, she called out the people judging her so openly.

Brooke said her relationship with her father was far more complicated than many people realized. “I had a very real relationship with my dad,” she said. She recalled standing by him “at every surgery” and flying down on her own dime while waiting tables. She said she eventually “lost [Hulk] along the way.”

Notably, Brooke tied her heartbreak to a missed chance. Her husband, Steven Oleksy, once asked Hulk if he wanted to meet their twins. “I don’t even know if my dad had his phone, let’s put it that way,” she recalled. Eventually, she admitted she “couldn’t keep fixing” everything alone. The Hulk Hogan family drama had dragged on for years.

Hulk Hogan, the beloved WWE star, died in July 2025 at age 71. Brooke had been estranged from her father before his death, while her relationships with other members of the Hogan family have also been the subject of public attention over the years.
