That’s exactly what happened to one realy stary, who says a single pointed comment from a well-known podcaster made him rethink a cosmetic habit. He’s now sharing the funny, slightly awkward exchange that pushed him to swear off the needle.

Harry Jowsey started getting Botox a few years back to protect his youthful looks, but one comment from a famous friend convinced him to stop. In his Harry Jowsey interview for his Us cover story, on newsstands now, he revealed who talked him out of it.
“You know who actually told me to stop doing it? Alex Cooper,” Jowsey, 29, said. “She yelled at me because she’s like, ‘Harry, why is your face not moving?” And I’m like, ‘Oh, someone said it’s preventative,’ and she goes, ‘You can tell when a guy has Botox. You look silly.’ The exchange with the Alex Cooper podcast host stuck with him.
Jowsey admitted he was “worried” about wrinkles at the time because he was set to compete on “Perfect Match” season 2, which hit Netflix in 2024. Looking back, he’s blunt about the whole thing. “I had, like, a fat head too,” he recalled. “It was so stupid.”
The Harry Jowsey Botox chapter is behind him now, at least on his face. He has since prioritized self-care after a basal cell carcinoma diagnosis, the most common form of skin cancer, at 26 in 2024. The following year he cofounded a skincare brand, Pash, hoping to educate others on sun protection.
Cooper, a fellow podcaster whose profile rivals any Call Her Daddy name, also serves as an executive producer on his upcoming Netflix show.
