Lindsay Lohan isn’t closing the door on revisiting one of her most beloved movie roles. The actress recently revealed she would happily reunite with Annie and Hallie from The Parent Trap, but only if the right script landed on her desk.
Fans have hoped for a sequel ever since the Disney favorite premiered in 1998. Lohan admitted she already knows exactly what would convince her to return.

While speaking exclusively to Us Weekly, Lohan said she would consider playing the long-lost twins again. However, she made it clear that the story would have to earn her approval first.
“I’d have to see the script,” Lohan said before adding another important condition. “And [after I] talk to Nancy Meyers, out of respect to her, because she’s phenomenal and made a great movie in The Parent Trap that we did together.”
Lohan famously played both Annie and Hallie in Disney’s 1998 remake. The twins grew up separately in London and California before meeting at summer camp and secretly switching places to reunite their parents.
The film also turned one unusual snack into a fan favorite.
Lohan laughed while recalling how many Oreos she ate during production.
“Ooo. I remember having a lot. Too many. And I love Oreos too,” she told the outlet. “I’m such an Oreo girl. Now, I’m [into] gluten-free Oreos, but I love Oreos.”
Those memories made her new partnership celebrating Reese’s Oreo feel like a natural fit.
“It’s such an iconic combo, people love Oreos and peanut butter,” Lohan explained. “To do something like this together… I think is just genius.”
Patricia Arquette directed the commercial, which also featured Amy Sedaris as a long-lost twin.
Lohan praised the experience, saying, “She was so fun and welcoming, and it was just a great, wonderful experience.” The actress added that Arquette had “such an eye for little moments.”
Working opposite Sedaris also created plenty of laughs. “She’s unfiltered in the best way possible,” Lohan said. “We kind of did some adlibbing, which was wonderful.”
Away from nostalgia, Lohan said she wants to focus on family and new projects after turning 40.
She said her biggest goals include becoming “the best mom,” “the best wife,” and “the best actress” she can be. She also teased an exciting new venture with husband Bader Shammas while looking forward to starring in “Count My Lies.”
