TikTok Creator Says Demi Lovato ‘Confirmed’ Clone Theory After Response

Demi Lovato rarely bothers with the wild stories fans invent about her. This time, she made an exception, and it backfired in a way she probably did not expect.

The singer pushed back on a TikTok video that claimed she had been swapped out for a clone. Instead of ending the talk, her comment gave the creator something new to point at.

Demi Lovato rejects comments about her weight, but the TikTok creator claimed her reply validated the conspiracy

Cloning rumors have trailed stars for years. Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, and Jim Carrey have all been named in versions of the same conspiracy theory. Most stars ignore it, and so does Lovato on most occasions.

But one video went a step too far, tying her appearance to the claim. Lovato answered directly. “Girl, go outside and leave my weight out of the equation,” she wrote, in a screenshot shared by the FauxMoi Reddit account.

The creator took that as a win. She insisted Lovato had confirmed clone theory chatter simply by responding. “That was just one little snippet to bring attention to the different versions of you that are out there, but the fact that it’s the only thing you focused on Confirms [sic] everything else! Thank you!” she replied.

Lovato’s sister Dallas jumped in next. ” Cute how this creator deleted my comment… AS I WAS SAYING, there is no mind control, body swapping, clone, Illuminati, Reptilian BULLSH-T going on,” she wrote, adding that her sister was simply performing. “But don’t come for my sister,” she said.

The creator fired back, and Dallas closed it out. “This sounds less like a conspiracy and more like a conversation to have with a mental health professional. Wishing you the best.”

Fans largely sided with the family, saying stars are people too and that bodies change over time. Lovato is far from the first star pulled into this conspiracy theory.

TELL US, DO YOU THINK CELEBRITIES SHOULD RESPOND TO WILD RUMORS, OR IS IGNORING THEM THE SMARTER MOVE?
