Donald Trump’s Former Ally Launches Fresh Attack on Administration

Marjorie Taylor Greene took another swing at the White House. She used to be one of its loudest defenders. The former congresswoman, 52, called out Donald Trump‘s official White House account over an odd social media post. She questioned the messaging while many Americans struggle with everyday costs.

The moment marked the latest chapter in her growing MAGA feud with the president she once backed.

Marjorie Taylor Greene slammed the White House over its messaging amid cost-of-living concerns

Greene posted her reaction on X on Sunday, July 26. The account had put out an animated video, and it did not sit well with her. The clip borrowed the look of the cartoon Rick and Morty. It moved through a run of surreal scenes set to dramatic music: swirling portals, UFOs, and Trump throwing punches at dragon-like monsters.

In one shot, the 80-year-old president and Vice President J.D. Vance dashed through the White House together. In another, an officer hauled off an alien, which many reportedly read as a jab at the administration’s ICE-led deportations. The Artemis II moon mission got a cameo too, since it flew during Trump’s term.

A MAGA hat sat front and center the whole time, paired with a caption that falsely claimed Trump had won three elections. The video signed off by plugging MAGA and the president’s office. “Hop in… best dimension yet,” the account wrote.

Greene did not find it funny. “People can’t afford gas, groceries, rent, and healthcare and this is the weird, embarrassing crap the White House account is putting out,” she wrote.

The latest Marjorie Taylor Greene criticism landed hard with her detractors, who pointed straight to her record. She stepped down from Congress last November and has been drifting from the MAGA camp ever since. Many called her a “hypocrite,” arguing she spent years pushing the same agenda she now mocks.

The backlash underlines a wider Republican Party split between Trump’s base and the members pulling away from it. Her rift with the Trump administration traces mostly to how the president handled the Jeffrey Epstein files. Greene has not walked back her conservative politics, but she pointed at Republicans she felt were failing to give victims real answers.

Iran became another flashpoint, and she knocked Trump over the continuing conflict there. Trump hit back hard. “Marjorie is not AMERICA FIRST or MAGA, because nobody could have changed her views so fast, and her new views are those of a very dumb person,” he said, and branded her a “traitor.”

Greene said the fallout allegedly brought bomb threats to her home. She flagged her safety fears to both Trump and Vance, but said their replies fell short. JD Vance replied back to me, ‘We’ll look into it,’ ” she added. “I got [a] response from President Trump that I will keep private, but it wasn’t very nice.
