Kim Scott reportedly lashed out at first responders during a medical emergency that ended with her arrest in Michigan. Newly released body camera footage captured the chaotic moments after authorities responded to a reported suicide attempt at Eminem’s ex-wife’s home.
Authorities have not released additional details about the ongoing case. Kim was taken to a hospital following the incident.
Reports claim Kim Scott lashed out at officers during the response to her alleged suicide attempt
According to TMZ, officers responded to Kim’s home on July 11 after receiving a 911 call about an apparent suicide attempt. Dispatchers reportedly told first responders that Kim was bleeding from her wrist, holding a knife, and had become unconscious before officers arrived.
Police later found Kim in the basement wearing only a bra and underwear. The report stated she became “irate and combative” as officers attempted to take her into custody and prepare her for transport.
Body camera footage obtained by the outlet showed Kim shouting profanities while paramedics secured her to a stretcher. She also directed insults toward a man inside the home. Kim reportedly called him a “prick” and a “dopehead” as first responders wheeled her outside.
The footage also showed an officer displaying what appeared to be a bite mark on her forearm. According to the report, police photographed the injury before the officer received hospital treatment because of the bite and exposure to blood.
Authorities alleged Kim resisted arrest by biting one officer and kicking another in the shin. Police also claimed they used a Taser before placing her under arrest for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
Page Six reported that officers heard a family member tell dispatchers, “Caller says aunt cut her wrist, and she’s bleeding.” The caller also reportedly said Kim still held the knife before someone removed it.
Kim has experienced mental health struggles in the past. She reportedly required hospitalization after another suicide attempt in 2021. The publication also noted she recently faced a suspected DUI charge after missing a court appearance.
Kim and Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, married in 1999 before divorcing in 2001. They remarried briefly in 2006 before ending their marriage again later that year. The former couple share daughter Hailie.
