Late-night television viewers brutally roasted the Duke of Sussex after a series of his awkward, unscripted jabs at American politics fell completely flat. Prince Harry made a surprise, sketch-based appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert earlier this month, following which the TalkTV presenter mocked the Royal with a humiliating on-air blow and claimed he is “lost”.
A prominent television host rips into Prince Harry’s recent public interactions, calling him ‘lost’
According to the Express, during a surprise cameo on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Prince Harry took a swing at Donald Trump and got booed by the studio audience. The gig started innocently enough, with Harry pitching himself for a fictional Hallmark Christmas movie role, but things took a political turn soon enough.
In a conversation, the prominent television host brought up America’s fixation with royalty. “Hold on, I wouldn’t say we’re obsessed with royalty,” he pushed back. The Royal tried to take a political jab at it, saying, “I heard you elected a king,” which was labeled “awkward” and “cringey” by many viewers.
Following Harry’s appearance, the late-night TV had a field day. Presenter Kevin O’Sullivan claimed the Duke is “lost.” “There you have it, Kinsey… a 41-year-old man who has no idea what he is doing with his life. He can not tell them what he does for a job. How he occupies his life. He doesn’t know what he does, and that is tragic, isn’t it?”
Kinsey Schofield, host of “Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered,” also didn’t hold back during a Fox News Digital interview regarding Prince Harry’s surprise appearance. She said, “Harry’s jab at President Trump on Colbert wasn’t clever—it was reckless.” Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams offered a similarly unimpressed take. He called the whole segment “silly,” adding, “it wasn’t wise to mock Donald Trump.”
This wasn’t Harry’s first late-night appearance—he previously stopped by the show in January 2023 to promote his memoir, “Spare,” which broke viewership records for the show at the time.
