The distance between brothers Prince Harry and Prince William remains unabated, as William made no move to meet his younger brother even after Prince Harry and family met King Charles.
Experts say that the rift between the brothers is too profound to dissolve easily.
Prince William reportedly has not taken any steps toward reconciling with Prince Harry
A source told People, “There has been no movement, especially on William’s side,” while royal historian Robert Lacey adds, “The rift is very profound and very long-lasting. It will not be changed, in my opinion, until Harry makes a move and apologizes.”
Prince Harry has not had it particularly easy. The travel to the UK was breached with security tussles, and the Duke of Sussex had to come alone. Meghan Markle, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet flew down from Portugal later. The next day, they visited King Charles for the first time in four years. “The relationship is better,” a close source informed.
However, there has been no connection between the brothers since Prince Harry’s visit. Prince William reportedly attended his annual charity polo match in Windsor with his wife. On July 7, both brothers had ventured out in London and attended events within 12 miles of each other, no attempts were made to meet each other.
An insider described the relationship between the brothers as, “It’s so broken.” Another source adds, “I thought it would have perhaps eased a little bit by now, to be honest. But there has been no movement, especially on William’s side. There is no contact.”
The rift between the royal brothers stems from the time Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to step away from their royal duties in 2020 and moved to California to raise their children. At the time, they cited privacy concerns and other explosive reasons for their exit. The divide widened when Prince Harry published his popular memoir “Spare,” where he speaks ostentatiously about the failings of the royal family.
DO YOU THINK THE BROTHERS WILL EVER RECONCILE?
