Kristi Noem’s marriage reportedly reached its breaking point after months of headlines surrounding her husband Bryon Noem’s alleged online fetish activities. The latest claims suggested the former Homeland Security secretary had quietly decided to end the relationship after more than three decades of marriage.
The reported split added another chapter to an already turbulent year for Kristi, whose personal and professional life had remained under intense public scrutiny. While neither she nor Bryon publicly confirmed the divorce, a family member claimed the decision had already been made.

According to the Daily Mail, Kristi’s mother, Corinne Arnold, revealed that her daughter planned to divorce Bryon after the scandal involving his alleged online behavior.
“It has been difficult, but we knew this was coming, that they were going to get divorced,” Arnold told the outlet. She recalled asking Kristi whether she and Bryon would reconcile, saying her daughter replied, “No. No. We’re going to get a divorce.” Arnold added that Kristi told her she had hired a lawyer in Sioux Falls.
Arnold also said she understood how difficult the decision had been. “I feel bad, sick that they’re getting a divorce, but what else can you do?” she said, adding that Kristi doesn’t “just jump into big decisions” and that “it took a long time for her to figure it out.”
Bryon allegedly exchanged messages with women in the “bimbofication” fetish community, praised surgically enhanced bodies, and shared photos of himself wearing fake breasts. The publication reported that Bryon did not deny communicating with fetish performers or sending the images.
According to the Uncloseted with Spencer Macnaughton podcast, dominatrix Shy Sotomayor claimed Bryon contacted her after the allegations surfaced, allegedly texting, “I’ve been a really bad boy.” She said she urged him to seek help, telling him, “You obviously are very sick. You need help.”
The outlet also cited fetish model Nicole Raccagno, who alleged Bryon financially supported her lifestyle and claimed he once messaged her, “Would love to marry you.” She also alleged he followed her content under the name “Jason.”
Arnold also pushed back on longstanding rumors linking Kristi to former Trump adviser Corey Lewandowski. “Kristi would never do that,” she told the outlet, adding, “That’s not how I brought my kids up.”
Neither Kristi nor Bryon had publicly commented on the reported divorce at the time of publication.
