Trudeau and Perry have been romantically linked since 2025, after she broke off with Orlando Bloom.

In a TikTok video following the song’s June 25 release, Perry is seen hopping to the song’s outro when Trudeau appeared to join in and later jump back out of sight. Social media users celebrated the duo. One said, “Not Trudeau jumping around too,” alongside a crying emoji, while another simply said, “Cuties.”
According to People, rumors of a romance between Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau first emerged in July 2025, shortly after Perry’s split from Orlando Bloom. The pair were spotted walking a dog and dining together in Montreal, with Trudeau later attending one of Perry’s concerts. They made their first public appearance together that October at a cabaret show in Paris celebrating Perry’s 41st birthday, and most recently appeared together in photos shared on Perry’s Instagram.
The singer, who is on her Out of Office tour, posted a video of her dancing to the song while in Germany, where she played Stuttgart’s Jazz Open festival on July 8. She captioned the video, saying, “Ancient texts say that if you hop to this song you will get 1,000 years of good luck.” Since its release, the song has become a mandatory part of her routines on tours.
Katy Perry has admitted that the last year was especially hard on her in an appearance on the Unfamous podcast with Justin Tranter. She said, “I don’t typically feel like a victim. You can hear it in my songs. I don’t resonate with that. But last year was pretty tough, and it would have been easy for me to fall into that weird victim triangle.”
The singer shares 5-year-old daughter Daisy Dove with her ex-boyfriend, Orlando Bloom, and is concentrating on becoming a good role model for her.
