Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift got married on July 3 at MSG in New York City. Kamala Harris did not attend the wedding, which sparked discussion. According to OK Magazine, Harris felt hurt by not receiving the invite; however, she understands Swift’s decision. A source revealed, “She genuinely likes Taylor and would have loved to celebrate with her. She understood the decision, but that didn’t make it sting any less.”
“Taylor wanted the day to be about her marriage — not about who was sitting next to a politician. The moment a major political figure arrives, the focus shifts. She wasn’t willing to let that happen,” the source added.
According to Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack, Swift wanted everyone to enjoy and celebrate the wedding rather than have political discussions. The guest list was star-studded and globally diverse, including Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Kansas City Chiefs owner, Steven Spielberg, and Andy Reid.
The source added, “Once a former vice president walks into the room, the story isn’t the bride and groom anymore. Taylor wanted the wedding remembered for the vows, the music, and the love — not for the political guest list.”
