In an interview with E! News, Josh Allen opened up about the story behind his daughter’s name. He shared that the couple had decided on the name fairly early. He credits his wife for the inspiration behind the name. Allen joked that she would be the best person to explain the decision.
“It was an early on thought that we had,” Allen said. “She can answer that question better than I can.” He added, “So I’ll let her answer that one.” The star smiled while talking about this major personal milestone of his life.
Allen reflected on the new responsibilities that parenthood brought to him. He shared that their first night with their daughter came with a lot of unexpected challenges. “Our baby was not,” Allen said on sleeping the night. He remembers rocking Harper for hours till sunrise.
“I remember at 3 o’clock, 4 o’clock, 5 o’clock,” Allen recalled. He recalled how he was trying to help his daughter fall asleep. This one experience went on to reshape his entire routine. Fatherhood as a journey has changed his approach towards rest.
The NFL star said he now plans his sleep and rest carefully. He shared that becoming a father has changes his daily habits. He praised Steinfeld for the teamwork in parenting throughout the days and nights. The couple’s schedule now revolves around their daughter Harper.
