Angry fans reacted after Lil Wayne did not appear for the scheduled Bangor, Maine concert
Wayne, who was supposed to play at Bangor Waterfront with 2 Chainz in his concert in Maine, skipped the concert without explanation. He was scheduled to come out at 10:45 PM, but minutes before the start, fans were told he was not coming out, according to TMZ.
Soon after his no-show, fans blew up the rapper’s social media, calling him out on his behavior.
One Reddit user commented, “That’s so unprofessional. He does this because he knows he can get away with it.” While replying to his own comment, the user added, “Wayne was favorite rapper growing up and still is, but I go to a lot of rock and metal shows. If showtime is at 7:00, these bands come out at 7 on the dot every single time. Seems like this is a pattern with rap artists. Lauryn Hill, for another example.”
Another user wrote, “It was packed. Missed a flight or some shit? Bro, you’re a millionaire; we are not. Figure it the fuck out.”
One user appreciated 2 Chainz, while calling him out, “It was a great show and 2 Chainz was awesome. The DJ was good too. But really sucks that Wayne no-showed.”
This was not the first time a rapper canceled the performance. Last year in August, he canceled his show in Toronto after the venue was packed with an audience. Wayne also cancelled a show in 2024 in California and in 2023 in Los Angeles
