Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have reportedly clashed over moving to Australia. While the 57-year-old allegedly wanted to move back to his home country, the actress seemed to be against the idea. A source told the Globe that Foster would not want to leave New York City.
“Sutton’s idea that they could just keep being this cozy little Broadway couple and work on their theatre projects indefinitely is proving to be a fantasy,” they said. Jackman has also been a New Yorker, but he has reportedly stayed in NYC for his kids. For those unversed, he shares two children, Oscar and Ava, with his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness.
Although his kids have grown up into adults, Foster’s daughter, Emily, with her ex-husband Ted Griffin, is nine years old. Reportedly, this was said to be one of the reasons the two-time Tony Award winner wouldn’t want to leave the city.
Meanwhile, the insider claimed, “Hugh is always going to be a citizen of the world and he’s always going to need regular check-ins back in Australia.” Moreover, the source suggested that Jackman and Foster’s clash was not only about their move to Australia. It was reported that the duo has different plans for their careers.
