The 48-year-old actor is making his way back to Hollywood after a string of Me Too allegations, which he denied. Earlier this month, he posted TikTok videos of himself unshaven, claiming a creature with glowing eyes was lurking in his garage.
He expressed fear of being under surveillance, vowing to film for his fans to prove his story, though no such evidence has been found. Soon after his video, fans started their conspiracy theories and speculations about aliens. The actor himself fueled the narrative with the caption ‘It’s an ALIEN!!!!’ for his video.
The actor had social media in a frenzy; a Reddit user said, “In Monsters, Inc., Movie 2319 is when a child or one of their possessions comes in contact with a monster.”
The discussion among fans then turned to his T-shirt, which he wore in many TikTok videos, creating the idea that it might have a hidden meaning. Another user wrote, “I think it has multiple meanings, like the white sock whistleblower connection. Maybe we’re supposed to read it backwards?”
When he posted TikTok videos, he only followed the official handle of Love Meets in the Sunshine, his upcoming movie, and the director Christian Guiton. Guiton put a stop to rumours claiming videos were part of marketing. He said, “It’s not a science fiction movie. It’s not a conspiracy movie. If I were promoting Sunshine, this is not how we would do it.”
Despite ongoing online theories, Franco has yet to provide the alleged proof to his fans. The bizarre TikTok saga shows no signs of slowing down.
