Andrew Lownie’s book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, which explores Ex-Prince Andrew‘s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted child sex offender, has been released in an updated paperback edition. The new edition sheds light on how Andrew allegedly groped a flight attendant.
More details emerge on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s fresh allegations by royal biographer Andrew Lownie
Lownie claims to have collected numerous accounts detailing Andrew’s interactions with women. While promoting the updated edition, which was released on May 21, 2026, the 65-year-old royal author and internationally acclaimed historian shared his insights via a chat.
He said, “(Andrew) greets an air hostess on a plane, swings her around, and basically grinds himself into her behind. I’ve got stories like that with yoga instructors, a whole series of people. Often with people around him. He’s completely shameless.”
In his book, Lownie recounts an incident said to have taken place aboard a British Airways flight to New York in 2010. According to the account, a flight attendant recalled an unusual incident after Andrew asked for a bottle of water. Lownie writes that Andrew allegedly complained the water was too cold and, after being told it had been stored in a chiller, placed the bottle inside his trousers, saying, “This will warm it up.”
Commenting on the claims, a source told RadarOnline, “The updated edition has reignited discussion about Andrew’s conduct and judgment. What makes these claims notable is that they are being presented as part of a broader pattern of behavior alleged by individuals who crossed paths with him over many years.”
A second source said, “Critics argue that stories of this nature have contributed to the perception problems surrounding Andrew. Supporters, however, point out that allegations alone are not proof and that many of the claims remain disputed or untested.”
In January 2026, the US Justice Department released multiple photographs from the Epstein files. One appeared to show the former Duke of York kneeling on all fours over a female lying on the ground, as per reports by the BBC.
He is also accused of raping Virginia Giuffre, one of the most prominent survivors of Epstein’s sexual abuse, when she was a minor. She was recruited by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Giuffre was raped, not once but three times, by the former prince, reports ABC. She filed a federal lawsuit against Andrew in 2021, accusing him of sexually abusing her when she was 17. In April 2025, she died by suicide.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was stripped of his titles last year over his ties to Epstein, was arrested in February 2026. It marked the first time the former prince was arrested over his links to Epstein, but he was soon released. He denies all allegations.
